The DFFB and LFS’ rich network of industry contacts has enabled SERIAL EYES to secure highly respected scriptwriters, producers, directors and commissioning editors as instructors and guest lecturers. Top US-based showrunners are invited to lead workshops drawing on their particular expertise, while master classes and hands-on modules concentrate on the scriptwriting process and other vital aspects of serial production – always with a practical focus. Veteran U.S. showrunner and producer Frank Spotnitz (The X-Files, Man in the High Castle, Medici) and UK writer-producer Ben Harris (Ransom, The Musketeers) jointly run the writers’ room sessions throughout the programme. The writers’ room sessions and participants’ collaborative work on projects are vital ingredients for SERIAL EYES.
